BISSELL Introduces New Products in U.K. to Meet Growing Demand
Before BISSELL's new ProHeat Pro-Tech™ and PowerWash Deluxe residential deep cleaning machines hit retail shelves in the United Kingdom during second quarter 2002, they will be showcased to the many U.K. buyers and media at the International Housewares Show (booth #L11902).
"Since BISSELL introduced the upright deep cleaning category to the U.K. in 1999, do-it-yourselfers have been flooding the market looking for innovative ways to clean their carpets, upholstery and floors," said Charles Gordon, commercial director, BISSELL U.K. "BISSELL is responding to that demand by making our high-end model, the ProHeat Pro-Tech, and our popular PowerWash Deluxe machine available overseas."
The ProHeat Pro-Tech carries a powerful 1000-watt rating and has an on-board heater that increases the temperature of hot tap water by up to 25 degrees F before it is applied to the carpet. In addition, this model features the Perfect Pass™ System that electronically monitors the operator's cleaning speed for optimal carpet cleaning performance. The machine uses a new line of Fiber Cleansing Formulas with Scotchgard™ protection from 3M right in the bottle (also available in U.K. in 2002). In addition, it comes with an applicator tool for applying additional Scotchgard protector to the carpet surface after cleaning. This helps to provide an extra layer of anti-soiling and stain release properties. Together, the deep cleaning formula and post cleaning sprayer treatment restore mill-type protection to carpet.

The PowerWash Deluxe has a wide, 12-inch cleaning path, making it faster and easier to clean carpet. It also has a large-capacity clean and dirty water tank-in-tank system that is easy to fill and empty. The attachments are packaged in the box with a storage rack, included with the unit. It also features a rotating DirtLifter® Powerbrush that works well to remove deep down dirt from carpet.
