What types of flooring can I clean with my Steam Mop?
Individual flooring manufacturer’s cleaning instructions should always be followed; however when used as directed, the BISSELL Steam Mop is safe and effective on virtually all floor surfaces.

The Steam Mop is safe for use on marble, ceramic, stone, vinyl, laminate, linoleum and sealed hardwood floors.

What are the benefits to cleaning with steam vs traditional cleaners?
The Steam Mop allows you to safely clean and sanitize without the fumes and residue of harsh chemicals. Great for overall cleaning and those sticky spots on your floor. The Steam Mop offers one step cleaning without the hassles of a mop and bucket. Your floor dries in seconds allowing you to quickly return to your busy life. For sanitization, simply place the Steam Mop over the area to be sanitized for 15-20 seconds.

What type of maintenance is required for my Steam Mop?
Minimal. The replacement filter protects the heater and pump from impurities that may be found in your tap water. The filter should be changed when the beads change color. If you find the beads are changing quickly, this is due to hardness in your water. To maximize performance of the filter, you may want to use distilled water. The mop pads are reuseable and machine washable.

How large of an area can be cleaned before refilling the tank?
The Steam Mop will steam approximately 15 minutes depending on how often you depress the trigger. Plus, there is no waiting for refilling. As soon as the tank is empty, simply remove the tank, refill and continue cleaning.
